TARAFLEX INNOVATES AGAIN AND CREATES

ATLANTA, GA, JANUARY 9, 2007 – Taraflex® Sports Flooring by Gerflor expands its flooring solution for fitness and aerobics centers with Taraflex® Locker for locker rooms and Taraflex® Fitness Tile for weight rooms and cardio-training areas. Now fitness center managers can enjoy the benefits and savings of Taraflex flooring’s easy maintenance and durability by equipping the entire facility with Taraflex.
With the Taraflex® Fitness/Aerobics Global Solution, club managers get the advantages of Taraflex customer service, simplified maintenance and great looking floors that make the facility attractive and distinctive. Club members can experience Taraflex comfort and performance from the moment they walk into the lobby, drop off their children in the child care room, change in the locker room, start their workout in the aerobics, cycling, cardio-training or weight rooms and stop in the café before heading home. Both new products receive proprietary treatments to resist friction burns and food stains and Taraflex® Locker also prevents bacteria and fungus growth.
Taraflex® Locker comes in seven Appearance Enhancement Designs (AED) varying from vibrant to neutral colors. It is 2.2 millimeters thick with a grained surface incorporating slip resistant particles making it safe for barefoot traffic. Taraflex® Locker can be used for retrofits and new construction.
Taraflex® Fitness Tile is available in eight assorted AED vivid and earth tones and is five millimeters thick. The semi flexible tile has a calf texture and is resistant to scratches and indentation. Once installed there are no odors because the tiles do not require adhesives or welding. The anti-static tile’s dovetail joint design connects the tiles tightly together so they will not shift or move. In addition to the economical price, Taraflex® Fitness Tile has another cost saving feature. The dovetail joint design allows tiles to be separated without tools and installed in another location when it is time to expand, remodel or relocate.
